Deleting your data
Last updated 7 October 2026
You can ask Plantoo to delete what it holds about you at any time — including what came from WhatsApp or
Facebook Messenger.
How to ask
@if ($contact)
- Email {{ $contact }} with the subject Delete my data.
@else
- Contact the organization you dealt with and ask it to have your Plantoo data deleted.
@endif
- Tell us how to find you: the email address on your account, or the WhatsApp number you wrote from, or the
name on your Facebook profile and the Page you wrote to.
- We may ask you to confirm the request from that email address or that chat, so nobody else can delete your
account.
What happens next
- We delete your account, your conversations and the files you sent, and the link between your WhatsApp
number or Messenger ID and Plantoo, within 30 days of confirming the request.
- Where an organization must keep a record by law — a booking it was paid for, for example — we remove what
identifies you from it rather than the record itself, and tell you so.
- We confirm by reply once it is done.
Removing Plantoo from Facebook
You can also stop an organization's app from receiving your Messenger data: on Facebook go to
Settings & privacy › Settings › Apps and websites, and remove it. That stops new data reaching us; email us
as above to delete what we already hold.
